It’s Week 3 of One Room Challenge and you know what that means? We’re at the half way mark, where we re-evaluate our progress and budget and start facing reality!
In Week 1 I introduced my living room, which is need of a refresh to finalize the design of the room, and provided my inspiration, like this blue and white living room.
Out home has blue and white woven through out, just like the home pictured above. Our living room needs more blue and white to compliment the existing coral furniture and compliment the blue and white drapes and accessories.
In Week 2 I provided you my plan, mood board, and to do list.
In Week 3, I’m giving you a progress report and sharing the fun part, shopping for accessories and furniture! Have you been following me on Instagram? If not, I’ve been busy shopping for accessories and a console table for my living room refresh at local home décor stores such as Slate Interiors and Cotswold Marketplace.
How cool and glam is this mirror? (Note cell phone photo). I had to step away slowly from this one!
Then I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw this vignette! I love everything from the gold mirrored bar cart, the tortious shell lamp, those gold cocktail glasses, and that mirror! But I was still on the hunt for a console table…
Then I found this console table that fits my coastal décor living room refresh! But then I found an oval bar cart that was similar to the round one in the above photo. Decisions. Decisions. Decisions.
Now I have two great options and took both home today on approval. I’ve been doing some rearranging of furniture and have decided one fits better with the room than the other. However, I am going to keep you in suspense a little while longer.
Here are some of my new fun accessories!
Love, love love Eddie Ross and couldn’t wait to get my hand on his new book, Modern Mix! I had the pleasure of finally meeting him last spring at The Southern C, and he’s just at genuine as he is talented!
I’ve been swooning over Worlds Away tortious shell wall art ever since I saw it at High Point Furniture Market in 2014!
While this is not in my budget, I did find a tortious shell figurine that will fit perfectly on my new table console or bar cart!
I’ve accomplished a lot this week with accessories and a new furniture piece. Here’s a look back at my to do list and my progress:
